The DuckDuckGo team is an awesome collection of employees, investors, contractors and open source volunteers. DuckDuckGo HQ is in Paoli, PA, USA, but we also have people scattered across the world.

We like people who can a) think across the full stack since that's what we use to build DuckDuckGo, and b) have a specialty so that they can really take ownership over something and teach the rest of us stuff.
